I have spent much of my career in two different worlds that both center their business around foresight. Prior to design, I spent several years working for an investment firm in New York, where I learned that logic and research could be creative. Investing is like trying to predict the future, it synthesizes information and sees the unseen.
Design is the perfect combination of analytics and creativity. I design like an investor, with the hope of shaping and predicting the future. I love using my creativity to future-cast and build worlds that don’t exist yet. Working with scientists at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory or strategists at BMW Designworks, I’ve used design to create new pathways and find untapped opportunities in new and non-traditional places.
